  • If you're planning a birthday party, festival, or community event, it’s best to book your Vancouver face painter as early as possible.

    Many clients book 3–6 weeks in advance for birthday parties, while larger events such as summer festivals, corporate events, school fun fairs, and holiday celebrations often book several months ahead.

  • Each artist can paint or twist approximately for 20-25 persons per hour. Birthday parties are capped at 20 kids per 2 hour booking. For large events we highly recommend booking multiple artists to ensure as many attendees as possible can get painted, to avoid disappointment.     At MJC Artistry, a professional face painter in Vancouver, we prioritize safety and comfort and typically recommend face painting for ages 3+. Simple designs may occasionally be done for slightly younger children depending on the situation and with parent approval.

    Insurance protects both the entertainer, the person getting painted and the event organizer in the unlikely case of accidents or property damage. Many venues, municipalities, and event planners require entertainers to provide a Certificate of Insurance (COI) before the event.

    MJC Artistry is a fully insured Vancouver face painting business and can provide Certificates of Insurance for venues, malls, schools, and event organizers upon request, as well as additionally insured COI. MJC Artistry carries 5 million in their policy.

  • Absolutely! We specialize in large community events and can provide a team of artists if needed. Please reach out for details and availability.

  • Face paint typically lasts 4-8 hours, depending on skin type and environmental factors. We use water based face paint which is easily removed with soap and water.

    Hot tip: Lather soap and water on hands then apply to face paint, emulsifying the paint, then wipe with damp face cloth for easy removal.

    Hot tip: Use makeup remover, coconut oil or baby oil for any remaining colour stains.

  • A pop up beauty service offered at events. Guests are adorned with glitter and gems applied to their face, hair or body. Glitter tattoos are also available, they are waterproof and last 3-5 days. Glitter makes a fun and dazzling addition to any event.

  • Glitter tattoos can last from 2-5 days depending on skin type, placement and exposure to oils. Glitter tattoos are waterproof and can be removed using baby oil or 70+% alcohol.

  • Yes! We can custom make glitter tattoos with you preferred design or logo! Please contact us for a detailed quote for custom services.

  • The best way to remove chunky glitter is using the side of a card to scrape off the glitter and discard in the waste bin. Then wash your skin with warm water and soap.

    It is not recommended to wash off without removing most of the glitter first as it can clog your drain and is better for the water ways.

  • Anyone can have a balloon animal, however, please monitor your child closely if they are under 3 years old due to choking hazards. Please do not ever let a baby or a toddler chew on a balloon since ingesting a deflated balloon can be extremely dangerous.

  • We provide balloon flower bouquets, balloon animal creations, balloon topped candy cups, and more! Please contact us with your ideas and we will do our best to make your ideas come alive.

  • We create a variety of twisted designs! Some of our popular designs include dinosaur, sword, magic wand and flower. Please let us know if there is a theme you would like to be incorporated into your service.

    The detail of the designs vary based on time allotted and number of guests, if you want more impressive designs please book extra time.

  • Window paintings can be removed by spraying warm soapy water or windex on the window and letting soak for a couple of minutes, then using a window scraper to scrape paint off, finish by cleaning the window with windex and your choice of cloth/newspaper/paper towel.

    We can remove your window painting for free when installing a new painting to replace the current one, or for an additional fee.

  • We currently only offer interior murals, however window paintings I do on both the inside and outside of the window depending on the project.

  • Absolutely! We use high-quality, non-toxic paint that is safe for both children and pets, ensuring a healthy environment in your space. It is recommended to give spaces 24-48 hours to dry before returning to regular activities in it.

  • Completion time varies depending on the size and complexity of the mural. Small murals may take a few days, while larger or more detailed projects could take a week or longer. We'll discuss the timeline during the consultation.

  • How do I maintain my mural once it's completed?

    To maintain the beauty of your mural, avoid using harsh chemicals or scrubbing the surface. A gentle wipe with a damp cloth is usually sufficient. We can provide specific care instructions tailored to your mural after it’s completed.

  • While our primary service area is the Lower Mainland BC, we may consider travel for larger projects. Please reach out to discuss the specific details and locations.
